REALIZATION OF WORDPLAY AND METAPHOR STRUCTURES IN ENGLISH-UZBEK TRANSLATIONS

This article analyzes the realization of wordplay and metaphor structures in the translation process in English and Uzbek languages. Within the framework of the research, the linguistic, cognitive, and cultural characteristics of metaphors, their translation strategies, and the possibilities of expression through wordplay were studied. Based on literature analysis and empirical observation results, difficulties arising in translation were identified, and ways to overcome them were recommended. The research showed that correct translation of metaphors is of great importance in conveying the cultural and semantic richness of language.
